Delicious in Dungeon introduced many viewers to the cooking anime genre. Very often in such projects, in addition to the main storyline, a lot of attention is paid to the recipes of dishes or drinks.
We have chosen just five of the most delicious titles.
1. Bartender, 2006
Ryu Sasakura is skilled in choosing cocktails for each customer. One episode in this anime is one customer and one cocktail.
Each person in the anime has their own story to share with the bartender. Someone wants to find his grandfather's favorite drink, and someone is a cheat and wants to go unnoticed.
The anime is really educational, because you learn not only the recipes for the drinks, but also how to drink them, and a little bit about their history.
2. Cinderella Chef, 2018-...
Ye Jiayao is an excellent cook. She has won several culinary duels and always has new recipes in her arsenal. After an accident, she is reborn in another body in the era of feudal China.
Now she is the daughter of a politician and must marry a certain noble groom. On the way to him, robbers attack the cart and kidnap the girl as a bride for the leader of the gang.
However, the girl falls in love with the criminal and immediately captivates him with her culinary talents. The man begins to suspect – how can a girl from a rich noble family cook so well? This is the beginning of their unusual and very romantic adventures.
3. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, 2023
Tsuyoshi Mukouda is summoned to a parallel universe. But it turns out that he was teleported to this world by mistake because he has no special fighting skills. His useless skill gives Tsuyoshi access to various food items from an ordinary Japanese store.
The protagonist's culinary skills win over his new friends – the magical wolf Fel makes a deal with him in exchange for Mukouda regularly feeding him delicious food.
4. Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma, 2015-2020
Soma, the son of a famous chef, is known for his love of cooking unusual dishes. The young man dreams of surpassing his father in the culinary field, but he suddenly decides to close the restaurant.
Seeing how upset Soma is, his father sends his son to an elite European culinary academy to test his endurance. Why there? Because it is the most elite school for culinary specialists and only 10% of the students graduate from it.
5. Sweetness and Lightning, 2016
After the death of his wife, young teacher Kohei is left to look after his little daughter. But there is a problem – little Tsumugi's father cannot cook at all, and they have to eat only meals from the store.
Tsumugi loves to eat delicious food, and her father begins to look for other ways to learn culinary skills. By a happy coincidence, the student invites the teacher to her mother's restaurant, where they begin to learn the art of cooking together.
