Anime based on the famous game universe.

Fate is an example of a good adaptation of multiple game storylines. The game is based on a long history of deadly battles for the Holy Grail.

Warring magical families meet every few years to fight for an ancient artifact that can grant any wish its owner desires.

1. Fate/Zero, 2011-2012

This is a kind of prequel to the main series and one of the best creations in the Fate universe. The plot revolves around the fourth war for the Holy Grail. The viewer will learn more about why the magical families fought among themselves and about the creation of the Grail, or rather its container.

The composition of the Servants is somewhat different from the classical one, there is a very charismatic Alexander the Great and Gilles de Rais. The icing on the cake is excellent graphics and a strong drama in the finale.

2. Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Frot: Babylonia, 2019-2020

The series tells about the organization Chaldea, whose task is to protect people in different eras from singularities – a kind of time paradoxes. To save humanity from destruction, the main character, an employee of the organization, must collect all the Holy Grails located in different time periods.

Babylonia tells of a mission to Mesopotamia during the reign of Gilgamesh. In addition to Babylonia, a three-hour full-length movie has been released about the mission in the time of King Arthur, and a movie adaptation of the final arc, which completes the Chaldean subcycle.

But it is best to start with the special Fate/Grand Order, which introduces the main characters and tells what Chaldea actually is.

3. Fate/Stay Night, 2006

This is an old and already classic adaptation. Emiya Shirou, a simple Japanese schoolboy, finds himself at the epicenter of an unfolding magical battle.

Emiya would have died if not for the help of a girl from another class, who turns out to be a Master. Emiya accidentally summons a Servant and becomes a participant in the impending massacre.

4. Fate/Stay Night [Unlimited Blade Works], 2014-2015

In the original game, events unfolded in several different ways depending on the decisions made by the protagonist. The plot of the series is based on one of the alternate storylines about Emiya Shirou and his misadventures.

In comparison to Fate/Stay Night, it has higher quality graphics and character development. There is a lot of well-staged action and exciting battles.

5. Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel, 2017-2020

A trilogy of feature films based on the darkest branch of the game's storyline. The story focuses on the protagonist's friend Sakura, who is suffering from a mysterious illness at the very beginning of the battle for the Grail.

Emiya Shirou tries his best to find a way to help her, not realizing that he has already become a target for other participants in the battle.
