The Kagurabachi Anime World Tour reaches the Anime NYC main stage on Saturday, August 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET, and badge holders get the first 20 minutes of Episode 1.

The tour has been circulating since July 3, hitting Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Japan Expo in Paris, AnimagiC in Mannheim, and Otakon in Washington, D.C. New York is the last North American stop, which makes this the final chance on this continent to see the footage before it goes out publicly.

The context here is genuinely funny. Takeru Hokazono's manga launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in late 2023 and immediately became an internet joke — a wave of ironic hype posts about a series almost nobody had read, treated as a bit. Then people actually read it. The bit ended, the sales came, and the property is now getting the full multi-continent anime rollout treatment normally reserved for established hits.

Casting news has been rolling out alongside the tour, including Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige. An exclusive preview at a 150,000-person convention is not a modest launch strategy, and the footage will presumably be public within days.
