Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions: What Do We Expect From the Latest Episodes?

Episode 11's ending cliffhanger got us thinking…

Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions (Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri) spoilers ahead!

Summary:

  • There are 2 episodes left until the end of Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions.
  • There were two types of episodes this season — related to the main plot and everyday investigations.
  • Viewers want to see more of the main plot.

Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions seems to be getting more and more popular as we approach the end. With only two episodes left, there's a feeling that the bumbling investigator and his impressive assistant's story won't end here. The first season showed a lot. The creators kept switching from the main story to everyday investigations and vice versa. But now it seems that we are all waiting for one thing — Ron's story.

Two competing plot types

Throughout the season, Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions has entertained us in many ways. First of all, of course, with its well-matched duo. It's very important in detective stories to have chemistry between the main characters. This title seems to do that well. Totomaru's insecurity and Ron's cold-bloodedness complement each other perfectly. Their interactions are fun to watch, so whatever the creators show, it's likely to be something entertaining.

There were two types of episodes this season, with one being very prevalent. The first type was the day-to-day investigations. Very rarely did they take up more than one episode, such as The Case of the Benizome Hot Springs Murder, which dragged on for two episodes. Most of the time, viewers were introduced to the new investigation at the beginning of the episode, and it was solved by the end. But there were also episodes that were dedicated to the main plot. A good example is The Case of the Island Observatory Murder. The investigation, which lasted three episodes, was entirely built around Ron's story.

The case of Ron's past

Perhaps the mystery of Ron's personality is one of the most interesting parts of this anime. We know that he was an outstanding student at the detective academy, but during his practice a mass murder of criminals happened and Ron was blamed for it. He doesn't remember anything about this event. After this incident, Ron was banned from investigations because he was a danger to the criminals (magically making them hurt themselves).

There is no doubt that viewers want to see more of the main plot in the last episodes. In Episode 11, we were shown a small part. The characters went to Aichi to check on an old friend, and Ron used the time to undergo a medical test at a special clinic. Before that, we even saw the possible culprits (coincidentally the main villains) of Ron's complicated fate in episodes of The Case of the Island Observatory Murder. Let's hope that the series will satisfy us with the main plot.
