Long hard road

Haikyuu!!'s main characters have already come a long way. After many defeats and victories, they finally made it to the National Volleyball Tournament. The third season ended with Karasuno defeating Shiratorizawa, the strongest opponent in the prefecture. They managed to beat Ushijima, one of the most powerful players, and earned a ticket to the next round.

At the nationals, Karasuno faced the strongest teams in the country. However, their hard training paid off. In the first round, they were able to defeat Tsubakihara despite difficulties with Kageyama. In the second stage, they faced an even tougher opponent, Inarizaki, the tournament favorites. Their team is famous for the brilliant Miya brothers duo, who immediately repeated the protagonists' quick attack and threw them off balance. Despite seemingly losing the game, Karasuno manages to fight back and even win this match.

Hard work pays off

The fourth season ends with a victory over Inarizaki and the introduction of Karasuno's next opponents — Nekoma. Their rivalry has been going on for many years — long before the current line-up of the teams, back in the days of the old coaches. The teams have faced each other before, and Nekoma has almost always won. But now the balance of power has changed, and Karasuno's victory doesn't seem unrealistic. After all, Karasuno defeated the tournament favorites in the previous round. Even in the anime, most people are betting on a Shouyou and Kageyama victory.

While there is no doubt that Karasuno can win this round, further progress is questionable. The strongest teams remain, including Fukurodani with their incredibly powerful ace Bokuto and sensitive setter Akaashi. They have shown their strength in every match, even with the typical problems of Bokuto's moody personality.

But Karasuno has something to offer as well. They have done an incredibly good job and completely changed. Every player has improved their skills. But the biggest change has been in the once weakest members of the team. Tsukishima took the game more seriously, and Shouyou was able to receive incredibly well against Inarizaki (something he couldn't do before), as well as to improve his blocking skills. Can Karasuno win the nationals? Yes, it's very possible, but let's wait and see.
