NA Theatrical Release in June
Crunchyroll has already announced that they’re bringing the movie to North American theaters before it even comes out. There, the movie will be out on June 28 — just two months after its original release.
This early release has certain implications about the anime. First of all, the producers probably don’t expect it to be a major hit. While Blue Lock is popular, its movie probably won’t be as big as those for franchises like Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Jujutsu Kaisen.
This has its own benefits. More popular movies tend to get longer reruns in Japan, which results in them coming to international theaters later — and delaying the potential streaming release even further.
