10 Anime With The Best Fanservice

Not everyone loves fanservice, but sometimes you want something fanservice-y. If so, check out our list of anime with the best fanservice.

Hellsing

 - image 1

Hellsing Ultimate is especially fanservice-y. 2001 Hellsing toned the fanservice down. In Hellsing Ultimate, which is a very bloody vampire extermination anime, all the fanservice (or at least most of it) seems to be contained in the character of Victoria Seras. Her impressive curves are always on display whenever she is on screen, and she is the point of view character, so there is a lot of her on screen. Keep in mind, though, that Hellsing Ultimate is very, very bloody.

Blade and Soul

 - image 2

Blade and Soul is a game adapted into anime, in which a very fanservice-y girl travels in search of the person who murdered her teacher. She was also framed for that murder, so people are searching for her. This anime is about action and observing the main character and side characters, who are all designed to look very nice.

Soul Eater

 - image 3

Soul Eater is about a magical world where kids go to school to become either Meisters or Weapons of those Meisters. They collect tainted souls and fight evil creatures. There is also a shapeshifting cat that likes to turn into a very fanservice-y lady. Keep in mind, though, Soul Eater can be very scary, even if it’s not very bloody.

Kakegurui

 - image 4

Kakegurui is a story about compulsive gambling, power plays and mind games. Despite that premise being suitable for psychological horror, which the series is at times, the amount of fanservice in this anime is astounding. There are also very specific stylistic choices in this series that make the characters look like they were possessed sometimes, and those choices are too much for some people. But overall, it is a very fun and fanservice-y thriller.

Chobits

 - image 5

Chobits is an old anime, but we drag it out because the fanservice is strong in it. It is an anime about personal computers that look like girls, sometimes uncomfortably young girls, and they are always sexualized. The main character finds such a girl, malfunctioning, on the streets and takes her in, hoping to fix her. There is also a legend going around about some of such computers having free will. There is a little bit of comedy and a little bit of drama in this anime, and a lot of fanservice.

Food Wars!

 - image 6

Food Wars! is not about fanservice, but it has a fair share of it. In the series, the setting is a culinary academy, and the plot is mostly about improving one’s culinary skill and taking part in culinary competitions. But there is also a lot of fanservice, and character design is quite fanservice-y too.

Fairy Tail

 - image 7

Back to action and adventure anime with a touch of comedy, Fairy Tail is about a wizard guild of that name. It follows the main character joining that guild and finding a new family in them while adventuring and facing danger together as friends. Fanservice is sprinkled in it, too, so if you want some fanservice with a plot and found family, this anime is for you.

Free!

 - image 8

Fanservice is not only about girls being naked and unnaturally endowed. Sometimes, it is boys who are offered as fanservice for everyone to enjoy. Free! is about a highschool swimming team that the main characters want to revive. As you might guess, that results in many swimmers appearing on screen and showing off their bodies.

Kill la Kill

 - image 9

Another action anime, Kill la Kill follows a girl who is trying to take revenge for her father’s death. She has a rather memorable weapon — a scissor longsword — and she is faced with a supernaturally protected (by their uniforms) student council. There is a fair amount of fanservice and a lot of action, with a new world to explore.

Witchblade

And another action anime to finish the list is Witchblade, in which a kind woman has to protect her child. She discovers that the bracelet on her hand, which she doesn’t remember acquiring because of losing her memories in a quake, is the Witchblade, and it gives her supernatural powers. The fanservice is very strong in Witchblade, which you can see even in the promotional materials. However, there is also action and plot, so you will not get too bored of watching beautiful women.

In summary, a lot of fanservice-y anime involve half-naked women, but there are exceptions when it is men who are naked and handsome on the screen. Also, all sorts of genres seem to include fanservice, from bloody action to comedy. Overall, fanservice is added to many genres for us to enjoy.
