Nio Nakatani, best known for the hit yuri series Bloom Into You, is returning with a brand-new manga set to debut this fall.
The announcement came via the June issue of Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh, which also previewed some early artwork. The series title hasn't been revealed yet.
Nakatani confirmed the news on her Bluesky account, but didn't share further details.
This will be her first new series since God Bless the Mistaken (Kami-sama ga Machigaeru), which ran from October 2021 to November 2023 in the same magazine. Kadokawa released the fourth and final volume in January 2024.
Yen Press holds the English license and publishes both the digital simulpub and physical editions.
Nakatani first rose to prominence with Bloom Into You, which ran from 2015 to 2019. The manga inspired an anime adaptation in 2018, a stage play in 2019, and a range of spin-offs, including side-story novels by Hitoma Iruma. In North America, Seven Seas publishes the manga, novels, and anthology book.
Beyond her serialized work, Nakatani has also contributed yuri one-shots to multiple Éclair anthology volumes, and Yen Press publishes her earlier title Farewell to My Alter.
No word yet on what her new manga will be about — but given her track record, fans will be watching closely.
