5 Anime Dishes for a Christmas Party to Impress Your Friends

Itadakimasu!

Food in anime is an art form. It looks so delicious that you want to taste it right away. It's not only in special titles dedicated to cooking, but it's also a part of seemingly unrelated shows. Would you expect a mystical anime about the adventures of a nobleman and his demon butler to have food as an important part of the series? Probably not.

Anyway, if you've ever dreamed of trying something from an anime, now's your chance. The holidays are coming and we need to set the table. Here are some food options for your Christmas party (recipes included).

Ragout Rabbit from Sword Art Online

It's not easy to find culinary delights in the Sword Art Online world, but Asuna has done a miracle and prepared an incredibly tasty dish that can become part of your table. You will need: rabbit fillet, 4 carrots, 3 potatoes, 3 tomatoes, onions, water, and spices.

Everything is very simple. First, you need to boil the rabbit until it is half-cooked. Then you have to fry the vegetables until they are soft (about 15 minutes). Last step: put everything in a pot, add water and put it in the oven for 2 hours (374 °F). Done!

Pork Roast from Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

Probably everyone who saw Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma remembers Pork Roast. No wonder, since this is the first dish cooked by the main character. It's not that complicated and will definitely surprise you with its taste.

To prepare Pork Roast for 2 servings, you will need 12 slices of bacon, 6 potatoes, 3 mushrooms and an onion. First, boil and mash the potatoes. Then dice the mushrooms and onions and fry them. Then you have to mix everything (don't forget to add salt!) and shape the mashed potatoes into a ball. Wrap it in bacon (it's better to secure it with butchers twine) and bake it in the oven for 30-45 minutes (374 °F). The delicious dish is ready!

Onigiri from Spirited Away

Perhaps no one depicts food as wonderfully as Miyazaki. Take, for example, the scrambled eggs in Howl's Moving Castle. An ordinary dish, but how beautiful it looks. While scrambled eggs are definitely not suitable for a Christmas party, the onigiri from Spirited Away would make a great appetizer!

All you need to make onigiri is rice, nori seaweed, and filling to taste. Boil the rice and let it cool. Prepare the filling (such as tuna). Form triangles and don't forget to put the filling inside. Stick nori strips on top of the finished onigiri and if you want, you can make cute faces with seaweed. That's it! Nothing complicated.
