5 Anime to Watch After Attack on Titan Finale

Attack on Titan is over, what should we do now?

The Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) has come to an end. It’s been a long and thorny journey. The anime went from one studio to another, the main director of the project changed, and the final season was divided into 4 parts. But despite all the difficulties, this epic series ended, leaving some fans in tears of happiness and others in a state of misunderstanding and anger. But in any case, it is a very iconic project, which will be difficult to replace.

So here are 5 projects worth watching after the finale.

1. Vinland Saga

A project that surprisingly also went from Wit Studio to Mappa Studio. The connection to Attack on Titan doesn't end there. Isayama has said in an interview that he was inspired by Torfin, the protagonist of the Vinland Saga, while creating the character of Eren. It's a very adult and philosophical story that, like AOT, explores questions of humanity, human cruelty and the futility of war. Like Titans, Vinland is full of diverse characters, intense action and beautiful music.

2. Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) is an anime that jumped into all the lists of the most popular and watched anime. A bright visual style, a story with a lot of mysteries and riddles, probably the greatest action in anime for the last decade. All of this is a great reason to have a look at the series after watching the finale.

3. Hunter x Hunter

The anime may seem much more childish than Attack on Titan, but it's actually a very adult story. The world here is less dark and oppressive, but no less elaborate and ready to bring surprises. Seemingly banal at the beginning the story about a boy who wants to follow in his father's footsteps and some hunters who fulfill different orders turns in a very unexpected direction. We recommend watching the 2011 version.

4. Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri), like the first 3 seasons of AOT, is produced by Wit Studio. Also in the director's position is Araki Tetsuro, the man who held the same position for the 3 seasons of Attack on Titan. Here we have the director's signature visuals with prominent outlines around the characters, exciting action ready to compete with Levi's canonical escape scene from Kenny, and a violent and bloody world. The anime essentially shares a common vibe with AOT.

5. Bleach

Anime that needs no introduction, but is very relevant to watch now. The cult series is just getting a new arc, and it's a great reason to revisit it or watch it for the first time. A complex and violent story that pits more than a dozen sides of the conflict against each other, backed up by excellent plot twists and characters that can change dramatically as the story progresses.
