Honestly, we just want Usopp to develop his skills more.
Spoilers ahead!
5. Gladius
This might be mostly speculation — after all, the main strength of Gladius is definitely his Devil Fruit and not his weapon skills — he is still a very formidable opponent. At close combat, he can make anything explode instantly — and he uses a mechanism to give his bullets the same power.
Gladius is also quite smart, as his goggles give him an ability to see far beyond the range of a normal human vision. And, of course, there’s the fact that this guy taught Trafalgar Law himself how to shoot, which means he is definitely among the strongest.
4. Izo
A former member of Whitebeard Pirates, Izo is known for his amazing marksmanship skills. Apparently, he taught himself it as well during his time as a kid — and he very much applies this knowledge in the series.
Being able to disarm others with precise shots and turn bullets into what are essentially barriers, he’s definitely one of the strongest snipers in One Piece. However, the same can’t be said about his close combat abilities.
3. Usopp
One of the most iconic One Piece characters, Usopp joins Luffy’s crew very early in the series, and he proves himself to be a capable sniper. The further the anime goes, the further he hones his skills.
His best moment was definitely when he calculated the wind and the trajectory of the shot perfectly to scare off Sugar during the Dressrosa Saga — a curved shot with an unstable projectile that is not even humanly possible. That said, he’s only in third place because he still hasn’t fully developed his potential.
2. Van Augur
Van Augur is undoubtedly one of the best snipers in the series. His vision is nothing short of incredible — he can see even the smallest objects from afar, to the point where a normal human would not have noticed they existed.
Furthermore, he applies this ability when he uses his rifle — he even shot the seagulls that were beyond the horizon. That’s shooting a small moving target at a distance of roughly 4 miles (more than 6 kilometers).
1. Yasopp
Usopp’s father, Yasopp, is considered the best sniper in One Piece. Said to never have missed his target, he boasts skills so impressive that he can even shoot an antenna of an ant from 100 feet (30 meters) away without actually harming the ant. According to himself, of course.
We haven’t actually seen much of Yasopp yet. That said, Blackbeard warned Van Augur about him, which means that at least according to him, Yasopp should be even better.
