Another try? 5 Reincarnation Anime

Some anime characters get to start right over.

Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu)

 - image 1

At the age of 34, the protagonist believes that he is worth nothing. He has no job, his father has just died, and he is being evicted for having no money. Despite all of that – or, possibly, because of it – the main character does his best to help a group of people survive in a traffic accident. He successfully helps a person before dying himself, and then, he is reincarnated, with his memories intact, into a new world of might and magic. Will he succeed this time?

The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody (Shijō Saikyō no Dai Maō, Murabito Ē ni Tensei Suru)

 - image 2

This anime states the key elements of its plot with its title. The main character, Varvatos, was so powerful that he was considered a Demon Lord, but it had led him to a life of isolation. He decided to reincarnate in hopes that he can weaken himself enough to find an equal. It does not improve his social skills, though, and making friends is still difficult, even as a son of a seemingly normal family.

Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita)

 - image 3

Again, this anime states the premise in its title. The main character dies (in a car accident) and becomes a sword, which he is quickly reconciled with. He searches for someone to wield that sword, and soon, a catgirl proves to be able to do so. Thus begins their adventure.

Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga

 - image 4

Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga is probably the cutest reincarnation anime we have on this list. In it, warlords are reincarnated as dogs. For example, Oda Nobunaga, who used to be an Owari warlord, becomes a sweet shiba inu named Cinnamon. It is a comedy, and it fits our criterion of being about reincarnation, especially since the characters remember their past selves.

My Favorite Idol (Oshi no Ko)

 - image 5

This one is a bit strange. A gynecologist, who is also a great fan of a pop idol, is meant to help that idol as she goes into labor. Unfortunately, he is murdered before he can do it and gets reincarnated as one of the idol’s twin children. The second twin is also a reincarnated fan. As the pop idol gets murdered as well, the twins decide to get into the industry and try to learn more about all these deaths.

Reincarnation is a common trope in anime, but as you can see, most of the reincarnation premises are rather strange, if not funny. Reincarnation comedy is a lot of fun, though, and we hope you find something you like on this list.
