The series will follow Takumi, who loses his job despite being a gifted chef. A new job is on the horizon, though, but Takumi hesitates to accept it since he will have to live in the boarding house, where it takes place. However, a charming caretaker, Mira, might be just the one to help him make up his mind.
The only thing he doesn’t know about her, though, is that Mira comes from another world. Let’s just hope that it won’t ruin their newly forming bond.
New trailer and visual
Crunchyroll announced the series a few months ago, in November, 2023 with the first visual for the series and a release date. But this week has brought us something more exciting: a new trailer.
Space suits and guns, a talking dog, a funny-looking old man, a singing idol and lots of delicious food ― these are just some of the things you can see in the trailer. We know it all sounds too weird, but the trailer makes you believe that Astro Note will somehow make it work.
The trailer promises a lot of peculiar humor, hilarious moments and romance, of course! And we won’t be lying, we’re here for it. The video also previews the opening theme for the series, which is "Hohoemi no Oto", performed by Ai Furihata.
A new visual featuring nine characters that you can also see in the promotional video has been also revealed. And yes, the talking dog is among them, we know it’s the most important part.

Fans have begun adding Astro Note to their watchlist, saying that the combination of sci-fi, cooking and romance is a very interesting choice. The series being an adult romcom is also quite refreshing, since people are getting tired of watching countless high school romances.
The fact that Astro Note is an original anime is also exciting. There will be no manga readers to spoil you the story or act all high and mighty. But most importantly, it means that Astro Note will have a new, unexplored story, and these things are always welcome.
