Crunchyroll Night of Live Music will be held at Anime NYC 2023, on November 18th.
The program will feature Hiroyuki Sawano (composer behind AoT) and other artists.
On November 17th, Crunchyroll will also hold a panel with these artists.
There’s just a week left until Anime NYC 2023. This convention, powered by Crunchyroll, will take place November 17-19 at the New York City’s Javits Center, and will feature cosplay events, panels with industry professionals, and even first public screenings and world premieres of multiple movies and TV series — including the first two episodes of Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) and Ishura, movies for IDOLiSH7 and My Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta) — and more!
And among its many attractions, Crunchyroll prepared something very special: a live concert featuring some of the most prominent composers and musicians of the anime industry during the Crunchyroll Night of Live Music!
Who’s gonna play?
The main attraction of this program is undoubtedly Hiroyuki Sawano — one of the most prominent composers in the anime industry, known for his scores for Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), Kill la Kill, Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai), Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) and others — including the upcoming adaptation of Solo Leveling. Given the recent ending of AoT, we might expect a lot of much beloved scores from this anime to appear during this concert!
He is joined by Cö shu Nie (an alternative rock band, known in the industry for the Season 1 opening of Tokyo Ghoul, as well as endings for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Psycho Pass Season 3), Senna Rin (a singer and an illustrator, known for the opening and ending for The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Gekitotsu, and the ending theme of Bleach: a Thousand-Year Blood War) and Survive Said the Prophet (an alternative metal band, known for the first and second openings of Banana Fish, as well as the first opening of Season 1 and the second opening of Season 2 of Vinland Saga).
When will this happen?
Crunchyroll Night of Live Music will be held on November 18th, at 6:30 PM ET, and run until 10:30 PM ET. It will take place at the Crunchyroll Stage — River Pavillion, and will be free for all Anime NYC 2023 badge holders.
And if you’re excited about attending this event, you might also be interested in a more personal meeting with these artists — on November 17th, Crunchyroll will host a Live Music Artists Panel, at the same River Pavillion, at 5:45 PM ET, where Sawano and others will be sharing their experiences about making music for anime.
Four whole hours of fantastic anime music!
