Which one is your favorite?
Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) is not just famous for its breathtaking visuals and heartbreaking stories. When we think about this series, we also have the image of brutal and terrifying demons that are in the way of Tanjiro and other demon slayers. But which ones are truly fan favorites?
5. Daki
The Entertainment District Arc brought us one of the hottest characters of the series, and this is Daki, of course. Violent, cynical and cold-blooded, Daki is just as dangerous as she is stunning. It’s always more terrifying when such cruelty is wrapped in absolute beauty.
Although she wasn’t the strongest opponent demon slayers encountered on their ways, she really made them sweat while trying to defeat her.
4. Gyutaro
Daki is not the only fan-favorite demon the Entertainment District Arc gave us the pleasure to witness, Gyutaro also is.
He’s nothing like his sister when it comes to appearances: there’s nothing appealing about the way he looks, and that’s why he’s so terrifying.
But fans don’t love him for his sinister side, they love him because his tragic family story makes them sympathetic, and the past of Daki and Gyutaro is one of the most touching things we’ve seen in the series.
3. Kokushibo
How could Upper Rank One not be on our list? That’s crazy to even suggest.
Kokushibo is truly the most deadly and dangerous creature in the series (except for Muzan, of course). It took all the power demon slayers could muster to even try to get to him and have a chance of defeating him. His strength is unmatched, and his character design is one of the best in the series.
2. Douma
Although Douma is the most twisted and sadistic of all the demons, fans found him exceptionally charismatic. If unhinged villains are your thing, you’ll definitely love Douma, too.
He might seem friendly and charming, but don’t let it fool you. Douma will kill anyone in the blink of an eye just because he feels like it. And he’ll enjoy every second of it.
1. Akaza
But the demon that fans love the most is Akaza. They don’t even care that he killed Rengoku, he is just that good.
Not only is Akaza an immensely powerful opponent, but his backstory is also very tragic, and you know that is a powerful combination. He suffered a bit too much, and his life taught him to be a fierce killer. Fans truly admire his skills and his weird sense of honor and can’t wait to see more of him in the anime adaptation.
