He is one of the most unserious Jujutsu Kaisen characters.
Despite his greatness, he is not a very popular character.
Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 21 has finally been released. Although there have been many memorable moments this season, this episode was one of the most anticipated. Of course, there is so much Mahito, and his confrontation with Yuji is a fan favorite. However, there is another sorcerer in this episode who doesn't get the attention he deserves. Even though his scenes are a real treat.
First appearance
Todo first appears during the Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc. This arc is dedicated to the competition between the Kyoto and Tokyo schools. Of all the Kyoto team members, Todo was the most memorable. Mainly because he didn't care about the rules. He is strong, and no one could make him stick to the overall plan.
Another notable episode was his fight with Yuji and their later confrontation with Hanami. It was interesting not only from a story and animation point of view, but also because of Todo's contribution to Yuji's development as a character.
Strange idol lover
Todo seems to be one of the most unserious Jujutsu Kaisen characters. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is an idol fan. Almost everything he says turns into pathos nonsense. He is also very clingy. After Yuji said that he likes the same type of girl, he declared him as his best friend. However, he's not as easy as he seems.
Todo has great strength, and this is recognized by almost all of the Jujutsu Kaisen characters. When he first appeared, he beat Megumi badly even though he wasn't really in the mood for a real fight. Later, he fought back against one of the strongest cursed spirits. No wonder, since he is a 1st grade sorcerer and on the same level as Nanami, even though he is still a student.
Unexpectedly important role
Although it was obvious before, his special role in the plot became clear in the second season. Todo acts as the protagonist's assistant. His every appearance stimulates Yuji's development. In Episode 21, we saw Yuji's incredible performance against Mahito (one of Jujutsu Kaisen's strongest villains). He also gives the hero a pep talk. After the disaster in Shibuya and the Nanami and Nobara deaths, Yuji was in a broken state, but Todo's words encouraged him to keep fighting.
Despite his greatness, Todo is not a very popular character. Perhaps fans are put off by his eccentric nature. Also, he doesn't have much screen time. We hope that he will be able to show off his power and incredible performance once again.
