Fans have waited five years for the third season.
On April 4, the third season of one of the most anticipated anime of the spring, Fire Force, began. The series returned after a five-year hiatus and confidently pushes the story of an unusual squad of firefighters to its conclusion. We tell you what the title is about and what is interesting about it.
What Is Fire Force About?
250 years ago, the planet was engulfed in flames, wiping many countries off the face of the earth – an event known as the Great Cataclysm. In his search for light, one man stumbled upon an untainted flame that saved human civilization.
With the help of sacred fire and technology, the Amaterasu Thermal Power Plant was created, which became the foundation for the formation of the Tokyo Empire. Since then, humanity has had one more cause of death, as spontaneous combustion has appeared, turning the victim into an infernal.
The main action takes place in the year 198, and special firefighting squads fight with the ignited people – there are eight of them. A new recruit named Shinra arrives to join the 8th Fire Force.
As a child, he experienced a terrible tragedy: his mother and brother were burned to death, and society blamed him for what happened. During his first days of service, the mysterious Joker claims to know the truth about the fire that took Shinra's family's lives.
Fire Force Is an Exciting Mix of Detective and Action
Many things in Fire Force are tied to a twisted detective story. By pulling on one thread, the characters begin to unravel a tangle that stretches back into the distant past.
It turns out that almost all of the events important to the plot are connected in one way or another. At the same time, an in-depth investigation does not begin until the second season, when the team has been formed, the characters and sides have been identified, some answers have been received, and the first skirmish with the antagonists is behind us.
The conflict in Season 2 becomes more global and elaborate, and the characters' faith is tested, which carries over into the third season.
Fire Force Is a Must-Watch For Every Fan of the Shonen Genre
It's too early to talk about the new season – only three episodes have been released so far. But based on the previous 48 episodes, we can conclude that the series is bright, dynamic and daring.
Fire Force uses popular shonen clichés, but at the same time it exaggerates them. Shinra flies across the screen with the speed of a jet rocket, bursts into battle at the last moment, fights with all his might, and sincerely appreciates every character in whose heart at least a spark of kindness glimmers.
