Pokémon Horizons is Finally Coming to Netflix in February. New Trailer is Here!

Thank you, Netflix!

Summary:

  • Pokémon Horizons: The Series is the current season of the anime.
  • It started airing in Japan in April, and it’s coming to Netflix in English in February 2024.
  • The new English trailer brings tons of excitement, and we can’t wait for the release.

We don’t think that the Pokémon universe needs much introduction, but it feels right to say at least a couple of words about it. The series explores the world where Pokémon — monster-like creatures — exist and can be trained. The original story followed Ash Ketchum, who dreamed of becoming a Pokémon Master. Pokémon Horizons is the current season of the anime and it features two new protagonists, Liko and Roy.

Just like Ash, Liko wants to become a Pokémon trainer. She acquires Nyahoja as her first partner. Liko’s grandmother gifted the girl a pendant as a protective charm, and it turns out that a mysterious organization, the Explorers, know something about this pendant and try to steal it. She’s saved by the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group of adventurers that explore the Pokémon world and visit various regions, and teams up with them. Together, they have to uncover the mysteries of the world along with learning the truth about the mysterious pendant, given to Liko by her grandmother.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series coming to Netflix

Pokémon Horizons: The Series announced its US debut, which is set for February 23rd, 2024. A new trailer was posted on Wednesday, November 29th, confirming the official Netflix release of the series. Fun fact: February 27th is an annual celebration of Pokémon Day, so Horizons will air just a few days before this event.

The series premiered in Japan in April 2023, and fans are excited to finally experience it in English on Netflix. February feels like something pretty far away for now, but there’s no need to be upset. After all, waiting only makes the excitement greater, doesn’t it?

The new characters and the story look really interesting, and fans cannot contain their hype. The English dub is always a good thing, and viewers are happy that they won’t have to read subtitles anymore. They mention the English voices being great and fitting the characters a lot.

Those who don’t really care about the English dub and have been watching the current Pokémon season in Japanese, promise a great adventure and add that the series is going really well so far. And we can’t wait to see it for ourselves and, hopefully, agree with the fans.

While a number of people admit that they miss Ash and Pikachu, they’re delighted to learn that the series is keeping Pikachu as its mascot in a new, fun and fresh way. Seeing even a glimpse of our beloved Pokémon in the trailer is everything we could ever dream of.
