These small details are very easy to overlook, but make for an interesting find.
This time, we bring you these exciting little details, easter eggs and findings that only a few select fans have noticed about these romance anime.
1. My Dress-Up Darling
Fans were surprised to notice the appearance of familiar characters from another series in one of the episodes of My Dress-Up Darling. In one of the shots, Marin rushes to the upper part of the plaza and checks out all the different cosplayers. There we can see a group cosplaying as characters from Horimiya, as well as the guy taking a photo of a character from the anime 86. This is a panning shot, so it’s easy to miss these characters if you’re looking the other way.
2. Weathering With You
Some perceptive fans noticed the symbolism in one of the scenes of Makoto Shinkai’s movie “Weathering with you”. In this shot, Hina Amano eats candy before proceeding with the ritual of stopping the rain. What’s interesting about that? Well, both candy and rain are pronounced “Ame” in Japanese, so it’s almost as if by eating this candy, Hina is metaphorically getting rid of the rain.
3. Wotakoi
There is a scene where Narumi pushes Nifuji’s glasses up, and we can see a faint mark on his ears, indicating that they are pierced. It’s such a small thing, but it shows the animators’ great attention to detail. After all, the character of Nifuji pierced his ears long before the series began.
Your Lie in April has amazing animation for its musical performance scenes, but did you know that they were also accurate? Many professional musicians have pointed out that Kaori’s bowing and violin handling were absolutely top-notch. And many professional pianists took the time to check the piano playing scenes and were amazed to see that the character’s fingers actually matched the correct piano notes, along with the attention to pedaling.
The new adaptation of Sailor Moon has a scene where Usagi and Ami spend the day in an arcade café. True fans of “Hunter X Hunter” were quick to notice the video game “Greed Island” machine in the background. “Greed Island” is a dangerous video game that transports its players to another world. There is also one more fun detail about this Sailor Moon scene. In the background, you can see coffee and ice cream vending machines, with one advertised ice cream looking like a famous character — Spongebob SquarePants.
