Well, not exactly.

In the summer anime season, which is not rich in hits, Tower of God's Season 2 was released. The title about the chosen ones conquering the mysterious high tower is now under the wing of The Answer Studio, so the series has undergone some changes.

What Happens in Season 2?

The second season begins six years later, and during this time Bam has managed to grow his hair and reach the 20th floor, where many chosen ones get stuck. After the betrayal of his beloved, the boy fell under the wing of the FUG group and began to level up on his own under the name Jyu Viole Grace.

However, during the next trial, he found himself in a situation where he was forced to find new allies, as his former friends continued on their way without him, certain of his death. Apparently, Bam was not destined to conquer the Tower alone, and his ability to unite people around him has not disappeared over the years.

Tower of God Has Faced Criticism from the Very Beginning

Tower of God premiered in 2020, and fans were immediately divided into two camps. Some praised the title and were happy that Crunchyroll and Telecom Animation Film had adapted the popular webtoon, while others criticized the animation and the approach to the adaptation.

Four years have passed, the anime has changed studios, and the animation style. However, despite the (sometimes very justified) criticism, Tower of God can still be an interesting title for an inexperienced viewer, with a fascinating story and bright characters.

Season 2 Still Has Some Flaws, But Remains Fascinating

Although the creators are not in a hurry to introduce us to the lore and give us information little by little, it is still exciting to follow the progress of the chosen ones.

The characters are also new, and it's hard for them to compete with Bam's real-life friends. The series hasn't even had time to reveal the previous team before introducing a whole new one.

All in all, Tower of God is a pretty decent series, although not what it used to be. It still has some flaws that need to be fixed. The story lacks cohesion and a slightly bigger global idea. And because of the time jump and the change of studio, it seems that we are not presented with a second season, but with some kind of spin-off that might affect the main plot later on.
