Pepesha’s Past
In Episode 8 of Shy, Pepesha goes back to the orphanage where she grew up to take a look at her pictures. She hopes to find more information about Stigma’s friend Tzveta, because Tzveta looks very similar to Pepesha in childhood. However, soon Pepesha realizes that she should have been looking for her mother’s photos. Pepesha’s mother Lenya and Tzveta look basically the same!
Of course, that makes little sense. Lenya is long gone, after all; Pepesha was left alone when she was only 12. So, naturally, fans started to theorize what could have happened.
Cloning
Many fans think that Lenya was somehow cloned, and the clone is Tzveta. It doesn’t even have to be Stigma who has cloned Lenya. After all, it seems she was frozen in ice before he arrived. This version opens up opportunities for more secret organizations that might have been experimenting on Lenya, and it is very interesting. But it’s not the only version fans theorize about.
Magic
When it’s not clear what is happening, magic can be a good explanation. Magic could have revived Lenya, making her come back different and with strange ice powers. It could also de-age her, which technology probably cannot do. Given that Stigma is apparently opposed to aging, there is also the possibility that he de-aged Lenya.
Note that Tzveta seems to have memories that non-Lenya would not have had, including the pet name of Pepesha. She also claims to feel warm at the orphanage she calls home. This is why magic returning Lenya from the dead can be a better explanation than cloning.
Someone Else?
Some fans are simply not convinced that Tzveta is connected to Lenya. What if Tzveta was simply fed information about Lenya? Stigma could have done that! Then, Tzveta could pretend to be Lenya, making Pepesha less willing to fight her.
