Mito is a beautiful girl dressed as a boy who has lost her parents and was abandoned by her relatives. One day, she ends up living with her rescuer Luka – a vampire – in the dormitory of a boys' school. But not for nothing. She has to become his bait. Luka begins to dote on the beauty, unaware that she is a girl, in order to make her blood taste sweet and delicious. The fact is that human blood tastes better when the person has been loved, but Mito has only known rejection, so her blood tastes bitter and gross. Luka decides to shower Mito with love and takes her in. Now Mito’s life depends on her secret not being found out (Luka likes only 2D women, literally), so every day is a new danger.
People already make puns about the slogan of the anime – “Blood Love”. It’s BL actually, you know? And the girl is dressed like a boy… And Luka is a boy too… And he constantly claims that Mito’s his husband… Alright, we think you’ve got it.

Is It Different From Other “Girl + Vampire” Anime?
Judging by the descriptions of the manga volumes, the passions run high there: love triangle, the girl is kidnapped by Luka's brother, then Mito turns into a real boy, then there is a soldier who tries to interfere, then Mito accidentally takes an aphrodisiac and tests her feelings for Luka… Ah, let’s be honest, we’ve seen it a million times!
But there must be a reason why this manga has 12 volumes. What is it that's got the fans so hooked? Probably the endless suspense – any second now, Mito's identity could be revealed and everyone would know she's a girl. A girl in a boys' dormitory. In a dorm filled with monsters of all sorts who are hungry for a taste of humans. It makes you really tense. You can add to that handsome guys, gender-bender, passionate interactions, cool design, hints of adult stuff, and you’ll get a good cocktail for shoujo fans. Moreover, don’t forget that all the sexy things Luka does with Mito, he does with a cross-dressed girl! It’ll be funny to see how his feelings for a boy evolve into feelings for a girl.
Actually, fans say manga is cute. As bait’s blood tastes more delicious if she’s experienced being loved, the relationship between Luka and Mito winds up being very sweet. Of course, there is plenty of sensual neck biting – you won’t be disappointed. The story is nothing original, but this cliché is what makes it so wonderful.
