Recently, the results of the collaboration between Japanese company Asics and famous anime series Naruto on the design of new sneakers for the model GEL-NYC were announced. The sneakers will be presented on November 5 at the Paris Games Week and are expected to be available on the market on December 11, 2023. Pre-orders are currently available on the retailer website, Courir. The full-scale launch will only take place in December and most likely the sale will take place through Asics' online stores.

We already know for sure that Sebastien Abdelhamid is responsible for the sneakers' design. Model is inspired by the Pain arc's Sage Mode. Sneakers are made in black color, on the background of which stands out a bright logo, recalling the aura of the Seventh Hokage and an ornament of pink, orange and white shades. Another striking detail is the black and orange lacing with references to the Naruto Scroll, as well as the metal embellishment with the Hidden Leaf Village sign. The tongue design is adorned with the Naruto clan symbol. Sneakers will feature new GEL technology inspired by the GEL-CUMULUS and GEL-NIMBUS models. For added impact, the new model will come in a special themed box, again done in the aesthetics of the original anime series.
