When do the protagonists start dating?
As for whether or not we are getting a confession in S2, the answer is more complicated than it might seem. We already got an almost-confession in the last episode, and it looks like the anime has actual romantic progress.
In the manga, Ichikawa realizes Yamada likes him in Chapter 85 — which this season will definitely cover in the next few episodes. And yes, of course, they start dating later, in Chapter 113, to be precise. Many fans speculate that the anime will end at that point, which, to some, would be a perfect way to end it.
What will happen in the anime?
On the one hand, romance anime ending with the couple finally getting together is somewhat cliché. After all, this is exactly what the viewers expect, and they basically accepted the fact it will happen at some point. Some fans feel like they want to see the couple together as well and not end the anime instantly when said couple becomes a thing.
This is not a guaranteed ending for The Dangers in My Heart, but it’s a very likely one. However, the anime is quite successful — nothing stops it from receiving another season. Or even a spin-off covering the missing chapters, like it happened with Horimiya: Piece.
