This is their month.
It doesn’t matter if you love spring and April or not, it’s difficult to deny that it’s a very important month for the anime community. And there are even two reasons for that.
First, the new anime season starts in April, which means more awesome shows are coming out. And second, these incredible characters were born this month.
- Natsuki Subaru ― Re:Zero
Birthday: April 1
Even though Subaru’s decisions might be irrational sometimes, it doesn’t mean that he’s a bad person. He cares for the ones around him dearly and is always there to assist his friends and is not afraid of difficulties on the way.
Subaru grew in his father’s shadow, which influenced him and his personality a lot. He struggles with self-confidence and might often misunderstand how relationships work.
- Kurapika ― Hunter x Hunter
Birthday: April 4
Kurapika finds it hard to control his emotions sometimes, and his anger forces him down a self-destructive path. When he’s furious, he becomes ruthless and unforgiving, but it’s just the pain talking.
But this anger is not what defines Kurapika. He’s also incredibly intelligent and open to people. His friends' happiness makes him happy, too, and they’re the ones capable of soothing his pain and fury.
- Jean Kirstein ― Attack on Titan
Birthday: April 7
Jean is very blunt, so be sure that he’ll tell you how stupid you are if you annoy him. Making Jean angry is one of the easiest things in the world, and be ready: he will start a fight if you’re rude to him.
Jean is also a great leader with a kind heart. He cares about his friends and his duty, no matter how much he’s trying to show that these things don’t bother him.

Birthday: April 16
Giorno had a very difficult upbringing: he didn’t have anyone who would support him, he was bullied and misunderstood. All of that made him cold and uncaring — he didn’t think he was worthy of anything.
However, Giorno learns to trust people and open his heart to them later. He’s also very effective during fights and critical situations: he thinks fast, knows exactly what to do and is not afraid of getting hurt if it helps him solve an issue.
- Izumi Miyamura ― Horimiya
Birthday: April 17
Izumi is so antisocial that others are a bit wary of approaching him. His shy personality makes it difficult to join in conversations and interact with other people.
But as it often turns out, he just needed a good friend. And when Izumi does make one, his personality starts to change. Not in a good way at first, but he manages to prove himself to be a good friend and a caring person. But be careful, if one of his friends is in danger, he can become violent.
- Katsuki Bakugo ― My Hero Academia
Birthday: April 20
Bakugo is not the easiest person to interact with or be around due to his short temper and aggressive behavior. He’s not afraid to be hostile with those around him and may even bully his peers.
However, even such a seemingly lost case as Bakugo is capable of improving. Of course, he kept a lot of his nasty traits, too, but he still became a better person. Even a likable one sometimes.
- Inosuke Hashibira ― Demon Slayer
Birthday: April 22
There’s an issue with characters born at the end of April and their short temper, huh? Inosuke is just like that. He’s too loud, too eccentric, too aggressive, but somehow it works for him.
No matter how over-the-top Inosuke might seem, nothing is capable of hiding his true nature and kind heart. He’ll fight for his friends until his very last breath and be sure that he’ll do it masterfully. Inosuke is definitely not one to mess with.
- Takumi Usui ― Maid-sama!
Birthday: April 27
Takumi’s beauty is unmatched. All the girls want to be with him, and all the boys want to be him. However, he takes little interest in the things going on around him and prefers to be an observer.
Takumi may be a true gentleman if he wants to. He’s always there to protect Misaki and doesn’t even care what it’s going to cost him. If his love is in danger, he’ll do anything to save her.
- Houtarou Oreki ― Hyouka
Birthday: April 28
Houtarou is calm and apathetic; it feels like nothing in the world even interests him. He might be very relatable for a lot of lazy people, since he would only do something if it’s absolutely necessary.
Houtarou’s emotions are also a secret: he rarely talks, doesn’t get angry much, and the only moments we understand he’s still human are when he gets irritated. Even though his grades leave much to be desired, Houtarou is very intelligent, and there’s not an issue he can’t solve if he makes an effort.
- Chuuya ― Bungo Stray Dogs
Birthday: April 29
Chuuya is another example of short-tempered and born-at-the-end-of-April characters. No one can annoy him more than Dazai, and he’s always very vocal about it. Chuuya might be too eager to start a fight sometimes because he wants to show off his great abilities.
But he is still very clever and capable of being reasoned with. Chuuya also knows what compromises are and can be a team player if he wants to. He tries to act tough and ruthless, but there’s a good heart somewhere deep inside.
