But we know that fans always want more, and they have some expectations for the year. And here are some series they hope will get sequel announcements in 2024.
1. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sousou no Frieren) Season 2
Do we even need to say anything? Frieren dominated the anime community last season and became one of the greatest anime hits ever. With this amount of love for the series and its popularity, the second season is just a matter of time.
Moreover, fans are confident that the sequel is already in the works, and all they have to do now is just wait for the announcement. We think the best way to do that would be after Season 1 is finished, but we’ll see.
It’s been over a year since Season 1 finished airing, and fans have questions. Of course, the Reze Arc movie was announced not long ago, but there haven’t been any details about Season 2, which fans are also very eager to see.
It’s still too early to predict anything because we all know about the situation with MAPPA’s animators, but there’s a big hope that the Reze movie will be released somewhere in Fall 2024 and will be followed by a Season 2 announcement.
This absolutely adorable adventure just has to continue. Spy x Family has been very kind to us with Season 2 and the feature-length movie, but we also want to see the sequel for the series.

Another anime that made so many fans fall in love last season and that is still ongoing now. Just like Frieren, the Apothecary Diaries has become a great hit, and it’s a no-brainer that fans would like to see a sequel somewhere in the future.
They are not sure that it’s in the works yet, but they’re still hoping to have at least a tiny announcement when the entire season is out, which will be in March, 2024.

It’s been over a year and a half since Season 3 was released, and fans still cannot understand why there hasn’t been an official announcement of a sequel. There were rumors about it being in the works back in 2022, but they were never confirmed.
Fans think that A-1 Pictures has been too busy with other projects, that's why they didn’t have enough time for Kaguya-sama, but they have confidence: 2024 is going to be the year. The announcement is on its way.
