Although such things as the plot, characters and worldbuilding are usually the core of an anime, we can’t deny that art style and animation are also extremely crucial. If you don’t like what you’re seeing, the disappointment might be so high that your initial response would be to drop the series.
But today we’re going to talk about the studios that don’t make this mistake. The ones we can really trust when it comes to anime.
Studio Trigger
This studio got especially popular even among those who are not the biggest anime fans due to their anime adaptation of Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners became a huge hit in 2022, and it feels like fans have absolute faith in the studio now.
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Violet Evergarden? It’s probably the heartbreaking story, isn’t it? Or is it the absolutely phenomenal visuals? The first time you watch this series, you’re just in awe: an anime cannot look this magnificent!
But it’s not the first time Kyoto Animation released a visual masterpiece. Free! and A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) are also projects made by this studio.
Ufotable
Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) alone is enough to convince you that this studio is something special. Fans praise the studio for setting reasonable deadlines for their staff, which leads to a high level of quality and consistency.
Fate/Zero and The Garden of Sinners (Kara no Kyoukai) are also among the projects the studio has created, and the upcoming (only god knows when) Genshin Impact anime is in the works by Ufotable, too.
CloverWorks
One of the most famous anime from this studio is The Promised Neverland (Yakusoku no Neverland), and if you’ve watched it, you’ve definitely noticed the spectacular direction. We’re not talking about the writing in Season 2, though. But the first season was outstanding. All the angles and camera movements were something that you had never seen before.
This is the studio that made us initially fall in love with industry giants such as Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) and Vinland Saga. Although some might argue that there are some weird things about their animation, like CGI, we can’t deny that this studio has deserved our respect over the years.
And we can’t contain our excitement about the upcoming Suicide Squad Isekai by Wit, scheduled for 2024!
These are the people we can trust.
