6 Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Moments That Traumatized Us the Most

Gege, we won’t forgive you!

Jujutsu Kaisen manga spoilers ahead!

Sometimes it feels like Jujutsu Kaisen has zero sympathy for its fans with how cruel and brutal it can be. If you’re one of this series’ victims, this is an article for you. Let’s remember all of the moments that made us cry for a couple of days and completely broke our hearts.

Junpei’s death

Remember when Season 1 opening made you think that Junpei’s story would end in a happy way? This was probably the first time when Jujutsu Kaisen showed that it wasn’t just a typical shounen where everyone had plot armor.

Although Junpei wasn’t a very likable character, his story was definitely relatable to some, and seeing him meet his end like that was heartbreaking.

Yuji’s breakdown

The Shibuya Incident was this Jujutsu Kaisen arc that made it absolutely clear: fun and games are over, it’s time to truly suffer. When Yuji regains consciousness and sees what Sukuna has done, he cannot take it anymore.

Seeing him cry and at an absolute low made yours truly reach for a tissue, we won’t deny. And realizing that even more pain was to come was even worse.

Nanami’s death

Another day, another reason to hate Mahito. Despite lacking proper screen time, Nanami was always a fan favorite. He didn’t deserve to go like that. The scene leading to his death was magnificent, though.

Seeing him carefree and relaxed on a Malaysian beach was beautiful, and we still hope that he could travel there at least in his afterlife.

Nobara’s death

Although there’s a pretty big part of the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom that still thinks Nobara is alive and is coming back, the chances of that are getting lower and lower with each chapter.

Her story was beautiful, and it was nice to know that she didn’t regret anything at the moment of her death. But she didn’t deserve to die like that. Especially not to Mahito, who had already done enough harm to other characters of the series.

Gojo’s death

He’s still coming back, right? RIGHT???

Gojo’s death is another moment that fans cannot truly accept. Such a powerful and beloved character just couldn’t die, that’s why it’s so difficult to believe that he’s gone.

The most cruel part of his death is that the previous chapter told us he was the victor of the battle. And then he was just killed? Off-screen? Why does Gege have to be this brutal?

Megumi’s body taken over by Sukuna

There are so many worrying things about that. Starting with the fact that Megumi’s fate is now very unclear, and there’s a high chance that he will not survive being “roommates” with Sukuna.

On top of that, Sukuna targeted Megumi’s sister to break his spirit and completely traumatize him. And us, for that matter.

Gege, we won’t forgive you!
