Are we close to the end?
Ah, the eternal struggle of anime onlys: to read or not to read? The constant waiting can annoy even the strongest of us, and seasonal anime sometimes have years between new cours, so especially impatient fans decide to read the manga to learn what happens to their favorite characters.
Although Jujutsu Kaisen is a rather fresh anime, it’s already been three years since the first episode came out. So if you’ve been here from the start, you know what waiting feels like by now. Some fans think that they’ve chosen the worst possible time to start the series, and they should’ve waited for a couple more years so that they will be able to enjoy the entire story at once. They feel like this is Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) all over again with its endless final season.
All of this leads them to one of the most important questions: when is the manga going to end and how much of this irritating waiting will they have to endure?
Manga readers cannot give us the exact answer, of course, because Gege is the only person capable of satisfying our curiosity, but there are definitely some predictions. Some say that Jujutsu Kaisen might wrap up in about a year from now, and the most hopeful ones go as far as to say that the end might be even closer: 6 or 7 months, since the current manga events feel like the finale is just around the corner.
Some readers say that in about ten chapters everything will become clear, and it will be possible to understand where things are going. Since chapters are released almost every week, it might take about two months for the said number of chapters to see the light of day.
If this is true, then we probably have a couple of anime seasons ahead, depending on the number of episodes each of them will have. Fans place their bets on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime having about five seasons. They also mention that the anime seems to have some additional stuff added to the manga story, so there’s a chance that the adaptation will be longer than the original source.
Fans seem to agree that overall the anime will have at least 4 seasons with 6 being the maximum number of them. So get ready and have some patience because it looks like this series is going to be with us for a couple more years.
