Attack on Titan Final Season Part 4 Trailer is Here: We Can’t Contain Our Hype Anymore

November 4th is getting closer, and it’s time for the AOT fandom to wake up!

Summary:

  • The new Attack on Titan Final Season trailer has been released.
  • The trailer focuses on the final battle with Eren.
  • Anime ending is going to stay true to the manga.
  • Fans are excited about Linked Horizon’s comeback.

With less than a week left before the ending of this phenomenally good adventure that is Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), we can’t help but being extra hyped, and this is one of the rarest occasions when people with jobs are waiting for the weekend not due to their days off, but because it’s going to be an AOT weekend, baby!

We’ve finally got a proper trailer

The trailer for the Final Season Part 4 (and this time it IS the final part, we promise) has been recently released and although it’s just 89 seconds long, there’s something to talk about.

Saying that Attack on Titan has a lot of action feels like stating the obvious, but still: the trailer has A LOT of action. The final battle looks like the biggest one in the series, and realizing that it’s against Eren adds pain to the mixture of feelings the trailer evokes.

Despite fearing to sound untrendy with all the current MAPPA hate, we have to admit that the trailer looks visually great. Of course, it doesn’t mean that the episode itself will maintain the same quality because we’ve been fooled by MAPPA before, but for now there’s no reason to worry about the quality of the final product. The style, the colors, the movements, the frightening titans — the trailer is an eye candy!

Eyes are not the only organ made happy by the new trailer. The soundtrack and the voice acting are phenomenal as usual, and quiet speeches along with passionate battle cries are perfectly capable of giving you goosebumps.

Everyone is in the trailer, and it’s beautiful

All our faves are here, and they look even more badass and heartbroken than usual. We can’t help but notice how much of Levi is in the trailer, and it’s just good to know that he’s still capable of putting up a good fight considering his condition. Attack on Titan wouldn’t be itself without drama, and it seems like Levi is about to give one of his existential speeches about lost comrades.

Everyone else is also right there battling Eren, and the only thing that we can say for sure is that the fight looks intense. We can only guess how heartbroken Mikasa is since she’s forced to fight the man she loves, but it seems like fans will have to wait for the finale to truly experience it, the trailer chooses to focus on her stoic warrior side.

Although it’s been a lot of episodes since Armin became a titan shifter, we haven’t really seen him transforming much, but things are about to change, as it seems. Fans don’t think that it’s just a coincidence that Armin’s transformation and Mikasa’s determined strike are the last frames of the trailer. Maybe it’s them who will put an end to Eren’s madness? It would be a heartbreaking but beautiful storytelling decision, as they are the ones closest to the boy.

Some old titans are going to make an appearance, but they don’t look like their regular selves. They are all void of color and resemble the construction that the War Hammer titan is capable of creating. Since Eren is the one possessing it, we have a feeling that these weird-looking titans are just one of the boy’s weapons that will try to protect him from the Survey Corps. Although they’re definitely there to kill our faves, it’s difficult not to feel a bit of nostalgia seeing them.

Ymir is there to watch the battle, and since we can also see some parts of her flashback, there’s a chance that the girl is coming back to the series to play another role in the story. So if you felt like there wasn’t enough of the founder, you might have a chance to learn some more about her.

All of that is awesome, of course, but let’s not forget who we are here for. Eren looks absolutely tired and lifeless. We can only guess what he’s feeling and what his true goal is, but he doesn’t look like the type of person who’s enjoying everything that’s happening. His exhaustion resembles the one of the fans who’ve heard about Attack on Titan having four parts of the final season.

Eren’s titan looks sick, though. Just as dauntingly huge as before, it still resembles his old form a little bit, which makes it even more frightening and creates a beautiful metaphor of the old Eren still being somewhere inside of this hideous creature.

What do we know about the finale?

The trailer proved all of the conversations about the anime ending staying true to the manga. We don’t want to spoil anything for you, but the trailer includes moments from the last couple of chapters, which hints at the fact that the events will follow the original source.

One of the exciting news for fans is that Linked Horizon are back to compose the opening theme for the final part of Attack on Titan. The song is called “The Last Titan”, and the fans are expecting something as astonishing as “Shinzou wo Sasageyo!”.

It’s time to prepare yourself for the final chapter of the story. So collect all of your memes, stop writing your essays about how much you hated the manga ending, put away your fanfiction for a couple of hours, and get ready to experience the long-awaited finale of one of the best anime of the century.
