Although there were some other things that readers really disliked about Two Blue Vortex Chapter 9, the thing that upset fans the most was the appearance of Kurama. It seems that Naruto’s daughter, Himawari, has him now, which makes her a Jinchuriki, aka a person who has a tailed beast sealed within her.
Kurama was incapacitated, and there was a heartbreaking scene of him saying goodbye to Naruto before, but now he’s about to be back, and this completely ruins all the possible impact his fate had on the readers.
Some fans called it before and said that nine-tailed beasts always come back to the story, but this time, people hoped it wouldn't happen. Kurama’s death was a great moment in the story, and such a comeback completely ruins it.
There were many people who thought that the series wouldn’t dare to kill off a major character just like that, but others had faith in the story. As it turns out, in vain.
Fans Disliked It
Readers compare the recent plot twist with a Disney story, and not in a good way. Not only did Kurama come back, but he does it in a magical way that raises a lot of questions.
Tailed beasts are supposed to be sealed in another person, not born in their body. But Kurama died, so he cannot just be sealed. Fans hope this will be explained better in upcoming chapters, but for now they feel only confusion and frustration.
The choice of Himawari also raises a couple of questions, since a lot of readers think that if Kurama had to come back and be sealed within someone, it had to be Boruto, and not her.
Still, there are fans who think this plot twist is not so bad. They loved Kurama and are happy to see him back. On top of that, they think Himawari is just the right person to be his next caretaker, since she’s the child of Naruto, too.
Dealing with tailed beasts has been challenging for some other characters. but Himawari might be just the person to have a good relationship with Kurama and show everyone how it’s done.
