Boruto has always been doubted and lived in the shadow of Naruto, because people don’t want to accept something new. But when the last few chapters came out, people started to change their minds about Boruto. The last chapter was a banger that said “Flashforward is next.”
Finally, the timeskip is here, and we have been waiting for this moment. When the manga scans were leaked, fans went crazy because of new looks of beloved characters and the continuation of the story. It's finally time to understand what happened between Kawaki and Boruto in the first chapter of the original manga.
Shikamaru is now Hokage, the situation with Boruto and Kawaki hasn’t changed, and Sarada is still trying to prove Boruto’s innocence. She still doesn’t know how to fix things, but she is very cautious around Eida. Himawari is training with ChoCho and she doubts that Boruto killed Naruto. Code decides to lure Boruto out by attacking Konoha, and he succeeds. We see the new Boruto, ready to fight like a beast, with Sasuke’s influence noticeable. We also know that Naruto and Hinata are alive and they are still Kawaki’s hostages. Mitsuki has inherited the bloodlust and he thinks that now Kawaki is his sun. But maybe he knows that the whole situation is fake and was caused by Eida.
Pretty convincing chapter for a title which received lots of hate for ruining characters, killing Kurama and going in an unknown direction. The anime adaptation is still at the worst point possible, if fans don’t want to see how Boruto’s story unfolds in manga, they won’t watch an anime with millions of useless fillers. But they should. This new chapter is a fresh start for the title, a chance to regain fame and trust, and uphold Naruto’s legacy.
To be honest, people should let go of Naruto and continue on their path with Boruto, because it is time for something new, for something that will keep Naruto’s legacy, but in its own way. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is an opportunity for the fans to return to the title, to give it another chance, and to see what happens next. Dropping this title would be a little bit painful, because it already was a long way, which led us to this point with the timeskip. All in all, we need to wait for the next chapter, which we hope will get a lot more attention.
