Fluffy Paradise starts with a woman who dies of overwork, but don’t get alarmed, the upsetting beginning doesn’t mean that you’ll be crying a lot, the series turns super adorable really quickly. The main protagonist gets reincarnated into a fantasy world where she receives the ability to be loved by all non-human beings.
And Neema (the girl who the woman gets reincarnated as) could not be happier about that. She starts petting all the creatures (even dragons, yes!) she sees on her way, making fans go “aww” about 30 times per episode.
There’s more to the series, though
“But how can this be entertaining?”, you may ask. And you have a point. Watching a little girl, even if she’s extremely adorable, just petting animals for 12 episodes is not the epitome of what you may call peak fiction, so there has to be something else. And don’t worry, there will be.
While the main purpose of the story seems to make your heart melt for now, the opening of the series and some conflicts that keep getting introduced provide major hints at future developments. The world of Fluffy Paradise itself is fairly interesting, and cute doggies aren’t the only thing it’s got: there’s also magic and dragons.
But to be honest, fans are just enjoying the relaxing vibe of the series for now. In a world full of battle shounens and existential dramas, an anime about cute animals is a rare gem that needs to be appreciated. And appreciation is exactly what Fluffy Paradise is lacking for now.
January has brought us a lot of fresh anime series, and it’s easy to miss something like Fluffy Paradise among all those more hyped titles. However, don’t let it fool you into thinking that this anime is not worth your attention.
Fluffy Paradise is a perfect way to spend your evening after a stressful day at school or work, and you’ll see what we mean after you’ve watched at least one episode of the series.
Yes, some darker themes are probably on their way, but we doubt Fluffy Paradise will get to the Made-in-Abyss level of twisted. It’s a slice-of-life series, after all. So it’s time to get your favorite snacks and watch something completely adorable.
