Falin has been the most mysterious character in Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) since the first episode, when she was taken by a dragon. Although there isn't much of her in the story for now, we always think about her because she's the reason our party is in the dungeon: they're on a mission to save Falin.
Things we know about Falin
Falin is Laios' younger sister, a good friend of Marcille and a permanent member of their party. Or, at least, had been one before she got consumed by the dragon.
Falin is also a mage, and as we see from the most recent episode of Dungeon Meshi, she's a very powerful one, presumably more powerful than Marcille. We hadn't really seen her in action before, so it was really nice to finally be able to appreciate Falin's contribution to the party.
On top of that, it seems like Falin is the most wholesome person in the series. Her kindness and soft nature permeate every second of her screen time, leaving no doubt: she's the heart of the party and is truly special.

We know dark, badass and enigmatic characters that can kill you with a snap of their fingers are trendy now, but we can't deny that there's also a new trend. The one that focuses on wholesome compassionate characters. And Falin is just like that.
Even the way she approaches the ghosts is special. Despite their attempt to attack the party members, she has no intention of hurting them. Instead, she uses a magical hug and deals with them in a kind and sympathetic way.
Besides, we can see clear hints at Falin's importance to the rest of the party members. She influenced them a lot, and they miss her and her skills. Marcille tries to remember the way Falin dealt with the restless dead and wants to be like her friend.
Falin's charming and gentle personality makes us want to see even more of her, and we hope that the series will keep blessing its viewers with more flashbacks.

However, flashbacks are not the only thing fans want. They wish Falin could join the party now, while Senshi is a part of it, to see her react to all the peculiar meals the characters keep cooking.
That's why there's great hope that Falin will be saved before the finale of the series, and her salvation will not be the endgame of Dungeon Meshi.
