What Is Black Flash?
Black Flash is a phenomenon capable of amplifying a sorcerer’s physical strike using their cursed energy. It’s a very powerful hit that occurs when cursed energy is applied within 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit.
Sorcerers cannot activate it at will, and a lot of its usage depends on pure luck. Even the strongest of sorcerers, such as Gojo, cannot use Black Flash anytime they want to. However, sorcerers should have great skills and a lot of potential to be capable of activating Black Flash.
It’s tricky to use several Black Flashes in a row due to how unpredictable and intricate this phenomenon is. Nanami was the one who held the record for the consecutive usage of Black Flashes and even he describes it as just getting lucky.
Nanami also mentioned once that Black Flash is the most difficult to activate for the first time, and it gets easier from there. That’s why he never considered his record something impressive.

Nanami is significantly weaker than him, that’s why he managed to break the record in Black Flash usage.
Black Flash can also affect cursed techniques of a user. For example, Gojo regained his reversed cursed technique after hitting the second Black Flash, and Chapter 256 explores this even more: Yuji hits Sukuna with Black Flash and unlocks his full potential.
