One more week has passed, which means there are new Jujutsu Kaisen leaks. There are still a couple of days before the official release of Chapter 255, but leakers are faster, as usual.
The good news is that the new chapter is no longer Sukuna embarrassing someone one-on-one: it’s not just a Miguel vs Sukuna battle, like many readers thought after the finale of 254.
Miguel is not alone
Another Geto’s commander, Larue, joins Miguel and retrieves Kusakabe with his technique. So there’s still a chance that the man is not dead after all and can be saved.
There’s also a flashback of Larue, Miguel, and Yuta discussing the final battle with Sukuna. Miguel contemplated his partaking in the entire thing and didn’t really want to do that.
All he did was for the sake of Geto, and he had already paid his debt to Gojo by training Yuta, so he didn’t want to have anything else to do with the Japanese sorcerers’ conflict.
However, Larue managed to persuade him, and Miguel agreed to join the fight on two conditions: he would fight only after Gojo and Yuta lost and if Sukuna didn’t have his domain anymore. He also asked Larue to fight alongside him, since having friends around would make it better for him.
In the present time, as Miguel and Larue are fighting, they notice that Sukuna doesn’t have his domain, indeed, his reversed cursed technique is also weakened, and his heart hasn’t fully healed. Readers are already making jokes about Sukuna having low HP and still making all the sorcerers sweat.
It’s good to have some proof that Sukuna is really getting weaker with each chapter, since fans were complaining about the entire battle having no purpose for ages. But having official confirmation that his powers are wearing out, too, gives us hope that the finale is as close as ever.
Yuji and Maki join the battle again
But the most exciting event in the chapter is Yuji and Maki’s comeback. Yuji joins the fight and attacks Sukuna instantly, without wasting any time. During their battle, Maki appears out of nowhere and cuts off Sukuna’s arm.
Losing arms is a crucial thing for Sukuna, since he cannot complete his hand sign to use the slashes, and his reversed cursed technique is not ready to be used again either.
However, just when it looks like the good guys have a chance to win, Sukuna hits Larue with a Black Flash. It was previously said that Gojo managed to regain his RCT after the second Black Flash, so Sukuna might expect the same to happen for him.
This is where the chapter ends, so we don’t know if that’s really true and if Sukuna will be capable of using RCT in the next chapter. It’s time more characters came back to the battle and finally finished the job, but we have a feeling that it won’t be that easy.
