The chapter starts with a conversation between Sukuna and Uraume, and they discuss a couple of important things about Yuji. Uraume is surprised by Yuji’s strength and natural abilities, so they are naturally confused why he is that strong.
Sukuna then proves one of the most insane fan theories and confirms that he did indeed eat his twin brother in his mother’s womb to avoid starving to death. But the twin’s soul kept on living, so it could still get reincarnated as another person.
Sukuna mentions that Yuji’s father, Jin Itadori, was that person. He was the reincarnation of Sukuna’s twin brother. So basically, Yuji is the son of Kenjaku, since he was occupying his mom’s body at the time of conception, and Sukuna’s brother. No matter how funny it sounds, Yuji is some sort of the King of Curse’s nephew now.
That would really explain Yuji’s natural talent for jujutsu and his cursed energy. He really is the Chosen one, and the idea that he has to be the one to defeat Sukuna makes more and more sense.

Chapter 257 is mostly Yuji fighting Sukuna, but the exciting thing is that Yuji hits his opponent with 7 more Black Flashes. Yes, seven, you read that right. Which means that Yuji has now used 8 consecutive Black Flashes, surpassing everyone else in the story.
