Jujutsu Kaisen: Geto Could Have Been Much Stronger if He Hadn’t Died

Jujutsu Kaisen: Geto Could Have Been Much Stronger if He Hadn’t Died

He deserved more, that’s for sure.

Summary:

  • Geto was treated poorly by the manga.
  • He died without unlocking his full potential.
  • Geto would have been much stronger if the story had been different.

Suguru Geto is one of the characters that Jujutsu Kaisen treated unfairly. He could have become the strongest sorcerer in the world (or perhaps the second strongest), but he went down the wrong path, became a villain and was killed by Gojo.

To humiliate Geto even more, the story has him fight Yuta and lose, even though Yuta was nowhere near as experienced as Geto. They were both special grade sorcerers, but you would think that Geto’s life and backstory would have become his greatest allies.

We Never Saw His Full Power

The thing is that Geto never unlocked his full potential. The world disappointed him, he bred a deep hatred for non-sorcerers, he left his fellow sorcerers and decided to turn to the “dark side.”

During that time, his powers didn’t progress much, his skills stagnated because he saw no point in improving them. Geto found a way to live comfortably, got plenty of followers and just kept going like that.

But if Geto had stayed on the frontline, if he had kept fighting alongside Gojo and the others, his powers would have increased tremendously. You need practice and a sense of necessity for your skills to evolve, but Geto had none of that.

He had so much potential to become the strongest out there, even an equal to Gojo. That’s why it had been so exciting for some time until we found out that Geto’s body was no longer occupied by him. Kenjaku has replaced him as a villain, and we have to admit that we feel a bit upset about that.

Kenjaku is an interesting villain, don’t get us wrong, but it would have been much more impactful if Geto had taken his place. It would also add more drama because he was such a good friend to Gojo. But Geto was just forgotten after a while.

Geto Could’ve Been One of the Strongest

Fans are confident: if Geto had had the chance to unlock his full potential, there would be just one person capable of opposing him, which is Gojo of course. There’s even a wild idea that Geto could’ve surpassed Gojo, but we’re not so sure about that, since Gojo is just on another level.

Imagine Geto working on his cursed technique more and learning more and more things each day. He’s got the talent, that’s for sure, and one day he would’ve definitely gotten his own Domain. Don’t know about you, but we would really love to see it.
