The series follows two protagonists, Rouge and Naomi, as they work together to find and eliminate the Immortal Nine, androids who pose a threat to the government because they are the only artificial humans capable of hurting real ones.

The first thing you notice about the anime is its phenomenal beauty. Everything from character design to stunning mecha action looks breathtaking, so Metallic Rouge is definitely a new contender for the title of visual masterpiece.

While Rouge’s design is indeed beautiful, we can’t help but feel that we’ve seen her somewhere before. Swindler from Akudama Drive comes to mind, but we don’t mind the resemblance. Naomi, on the other hand, is outstanding. There wasn’t much of her in the first episode, but you can already sense her eccentric personality.

So we have two girls: one is a calm android and the other is a quirky human. Their duo hasn’t had a chance to fully shine, but we see the chemistry and can’t wait to delve deeper in their story and watch their relationship develop.

Very promising sci-fi

Sci-fi fans are celebrating the release of Metallic Rouge, as the entire thing seems very curious and promising. Viewers mention the series having strong Blade Runner vibes, and they truly enjoy it. Although the most crucial story points are yet to be revealed, the first episode is definitely enough to catch your attention.

The ancient conflict of “androids are just like humans” is also present in the series. Sarah has been around for just an episode, and you already can’t help but sympathize with her. We felt that when she screamed that she just wanted to sing and be happy during a battle.

Fans can’t wait to see more androids’ stories explored. We’re definitely sensing some upcoming drama.

The worldbuilding of Metallic Rouge is already great, and even though there are still so many things that we want to know, the series doesn’t leave you asking “what?” when the ending theme hits.

The characters are fascinating and intriguing and the story introduces just the right amount of mystery and suspense to make you excited and eager to keep watching. And keep watching is exactly what we’re going to do.
