Seemingly nice and caring, this woman has a deep secret: she is the one who sells the kids she's been so attentively bringing up to hideous monsters. Every time she looks at Emma or Norman, it feels like she sees right through them and straight into a viewer's soul.
Lord Tensen ー Hell's Paradise
This entity is split into 7 different beings and each of them is capable of intimidating not only the main protagonist, but also the fans. Gabimaru's fight with Tensen is one of the most intense ones in the series, and it keeps getting creepier with each second. There's nothing frightening about flowers in real life but when a villain suddenly turns into a monster covered in them, that might make you rethink this idea.
Gyutaro ー Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
The mere sight of this demon might make you want to twist your face. Everything about him just screams "danger!". Gyutaro used to be known as "ugly" even during his human years, and this feature only evolved with him becoming a demon. This cruel and ruthless man is no stranger to typical evil laughter, and it seems like his every movement and word are there to make you fear for Tanjiro and his friends.
Meruem ー Hunter x Hunter
With this much power and this much darkness, this character had no chance but to be on our list. There's nothing more sinister than an intelligent psychopath and it seems like Meruem plays this role perfectly. Violence, cruelty, murder and cannibalism are just some of the "achievements" Meruem possesses.
Ragyo Kiryuin ー Kill la Kill
This frightening mother is extremely manipulative and sadistic. Her immense desire to dominate the world gives her ambition quite a dark turn. She's boastful and proud, and doesn't cherish anyone else's life. Ragyo enjoys the feeling of domination and her own superiority a lot, and even molests her own daughters at some point of the story.
