T.P BON is an upcoming sci-fi adventure anime by Bones.
It will revolve around time travel.
A new trailer for the series has been released.
Time Patrol Bon is a sci-fi adventure manga written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio that was serialized in 1978-1986. But it doesn’t matter that the manga ended almost 40 years ago, it’s still not forgotten, and a new anime adaptation by Bones is scheduled for May 2024.
T.P BON will release not just one, but two seasons this year. Season 1 will air on May 2, 2024, and Season 2 will be out on July 17, 2024, on Netflix.
The series will follow Bon, who becomes part of a time traveling team. The agents are tasked with traveling to various times in the past and saving people’s lives during historical events. But they have to be careful not to impact history.
New Trailer Is Out
A fresh trailer was released on April 16, 2024, and you can really feel that it’s based on a pretty old manga. The series has that distinctive old-school style with Doraemon vibes that will surely give you a wonderful feeling of nostalgia.
The trailer introduces the viewers to Bon and Ream Stream, who will be his female partner. The girl opens the world of time traveling for Bon.
There are various eras and historical events in the trailer: from Ancient Egypt to World War II, and we can’t wait to see how each time period will be represented in the anime.
Since most historical events go hand in hand with death and suffering, we expect tons of drama and tear-jerking moments from the series. Accompanied by the most beautiful soundtrack, just like in the trailer.
The Series Looks Promising
Everything fans have seen and heard about T.P BON makes them very excited for the upcoming anime. And seeing Masahiro Andou (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Haikyuu!!) as the director of the series makes it even better.
The voice cast is also very exciting, since the lead female role is played by Atsumi Tanezaki, who you definitely know as Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) and Anya (Spy x Family), and who is currently charming BL fans as Hikari in Tadaima, Okaeri.
Akihisa Wakayama voices Bon in the anime, and even though he may not be as popular as his partner, his list of projects also includes a couple of world-famous anime series such as Goblin Slayer or Classroom of the Elite.
With just a bit over two weeks until Season 1 of T.P BON premieres, fans can’t wait to finally experience a new take on an old and beloved story. The project has great potential, and we genuinely hope it won’t disappoint.
Old-school vibes that’ll charm you for sure.
