Jujutsu Kaisen girls have suffered enough. They have been killed, sidelined, ignored, used to hype up male characters, humiliated and injured. Gege has been accused of misogyny hundreds of times because of that. The Maki situation gives fans another reason to start more of these allegations.
The last time Maki was relevant to the story was during the Gojo vs Sukuna fight. That was more than 10 chapters ago! And the leaks for the new chapter have no mentions of Maki, either.
Fans just want to see their favorite girl back in action because she deserves it, and let’s face it, there is a tremendous lack of female presence in the series.
She’s planning a sneaky attack
When fans are done making memes and jokes about Maki’s absence, they start speculating, of course. And they have some ideas of what might happen in the future. After all, Maki is too important to just be left out of the final battle and forgotten like that.
One of the ideas is highly inspired by Yuta and Kenjaku. While Kenjaku was distracted by Takaba, Yuta managed to sneak up on and behead him. That’s why fans think that Maki might be planning something like that.
They doubt, of course, that she’ll be able to defeat Sukuna, but dealing with Uraume this way sounds like a likely prediction. She can also surprise Sukuna and deal great damage to him. This way she will help others weaken and defeat him.
But to be honest, we don’t really like this turn of events because this way Maki will be used like another female character to hype a male lead up and allow him to be the hero. Stop using women like that, Gege, please.
She’s Toji for Gege
Fans also often compare Maki to Toji and think she’ll be something like him. Toji was incredible at appearing out of nowhere and wreaking absolute chaos, so there’s hope that she will do the same.
A number of fans also joke that Maki has been practicing the art of stealth backstab created by Toji and also demonstrated by Yuta. And this time she will be the one praised for it.
No matter what, fans are absolutely sure that she’s coming back soon. Because, as we’ve said, such a character cannot just be forgotten. They just miss her and want it to happen as soon as possible.
