How much of it is going to be censored anyway?
Summary:
- Nukitashi is an adult visual novel by Qruppo.
- An anime adaptation has been announced with a teaser visual.
- The novel is very explicit, and it’s unclear whether the anime will follow suit.
Nukitashi is an adult visual novel by Qruppo, released for PC in 2018 in Japan and in 2023 internationally. There’s also a manga adaptation titled “Nukitashi: Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii desu ka?” that started its serialization in 2020.
January 28, 2024 brought us some exciting news as the project is to receive an anime adaptation.
The story is set on Seiran Island, where people are free to act on their desires. And that is exactly what it sounds like. However, even with laws like that, there are those who are unsatisfied and want to bring the insane law down.
Anime announced
A teaser visual and a promotional video for the series have been revealed, introducing the main protagonist, Junnosuke Tachibana, along with other important characters, all of them pretty girls, of course.
There are no further details about the adaptation, and all information about the studio, the cast and the release date is yet to be revealed. The teaser only gives us one thing: Qruppo is collaborating with Kadokawa for the project.
How explicit will it be?
The news about the Nukitashi anime adaptation wasn’t just met with excitement, but also with bewilderment. Of all the visual novels that might receive an adaptation, why does it have to be Nukitashi?
The thing with this novel is that it’s rather explicit and very sex-focused. To the point where there had to be two versions of the project: a censored one and an uncensored one.
That’s why fans are curious about how much of the sexual content will be in the anime adaptation. Will it be ecchi or even hentai? They doubt that it’s possible to censor everything and make Nukitashi a PG-13 series, so the most obvious prediction is it being a R 18+ anime.
This is also why fans are unsure about the upcoming adaptation. If it’s going to be highly censored, then what’s the point of making the anime at all? And if it’s not, what kind of intention do they have in mind?
The way the adaptation will be handled is unclear, but fans are ready to give the entire thing the benefit of the doubt and wait for more details. Let’s hope they won’t have to wait long
