Oomuro-ke is a spin-off manga of YuruYuri written and illustrated by Namori that was also adapted into an anime. The first season of this comedy slice-of-life series aired back in 2011, followed by two more in 2012 and 2015.
Oomuro-ke began its serialization around the time when the second season of YuriYuri was airing, and fans were naturally curious if the spin-off would also get an anime adaptation. And the prayers have been answered: two Oomuro-ke movies were announced in August 2023.
The original series followed a group of childhood friends at the fictional Nanamori Middle School and followed their daily lives, full of endearing and hilarious moments. And Oomuro-ke follows suit, focusing on Oomuro sisters.
Release date for the second movie
The first movie is called Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters and it aired on February 2, 2024. But this is not the only exciting thing about today as the release date for the second movie is finally here: Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends is scheduled for June 21, 2024. And as a bonus we've also got a new visual.
Fans are naturally excited about the upcoming movie and the one that has already aired. Since it's just been released, it's too early to talk about first impressions, but we're looking forward to learning the thoughts of the lucky ones who can already watch Oomuro-ke.

When will we be able to watch it?
Oomuro-ke fans want to know when they will also be able to see the movie, of course! They sincerely hope that they'll be able to enjoy Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters in theaters in the future.
Even if they aren't, they're still hyped for the subbed (and even dubbed?) version of it. No matter when and how it comes, they'll be happy to experience the lives of their beloved girls.
What about YuriYuri, though?
