Shibuya Arc Is Almost Here, Prepare Yourself In Any Way Possible

Like, seriously, be ready.

Toho Animation and MAPPA just released a new trailer for Shibuya Incident, which begins on August 31st. Fans are literally going crazy, manga readers are prepared for all kinds of emotions, from happiness (because their favorite characters are back) and to hatred and anxiety (we won’t tell you why), anime-onlys don’t even know what's going to happen and why everyone is freaking out. And we are here to tell you. (without spoilers, of course — you need to see this with your own eyes)

The Shibuya Incident arc is the longest and one of the most important arcs in JJK. Every event, every character and every story has led to this point. Nothing will be the same anymore. The trailer for the anime looks like the trailer for an entire movie. The animation is still magnificent, and we are glad to see our beloved characters on the screen again. Nanami, Choso, Mahito and Gojo (especially Gojo!) look amazing in the new art style. Yuji, Nobara and Megumi are also here, and we can’t wait to see them in action again. Also, something interesting is happening with Miwa, so be sure to pay attention. Sukuna throwing the fire arrow at the end of the trailer makes you wonder — what will happen and how bad it will be.

Many anime-onlys are asking manga readers what they should expect? The answer is pretty simple — pain. Also, the Shibuya Arc is life-changing, a climax arc, hype and so on. It is hard to prepare the audience without mentioning any events of this arc, but believe us, each episode is going to be viral in many social media — starting from X and ending with subreddits. There will be a lot of Jujutsu Kaisen after August 31st. This hype around the title would bring in a new audience, which is going to be great — JJK is already one of the best titles of this season, and it will only get better. Gege Akutami, MAPPA and the fans made it possible to draw enormous attention to the title — Season 1, an animated movie, a prequel about Gojo and Suguru, different collaborations (with Fortnite, for example). And now we’ll finally have the Shibuya Incident Arc, which will be on a different level.
