Mia tries to reach Abel in Remno, but their carriage is attacked by some bandits who are a little too skilled. Sion believes they are assassins! But how did they learn about Mia?
Tearmoon Empire (Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari: Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story) spoilers ahead!
Summary
In Ep. 9, Mia and her friends travel to Remno after learning the news about a revolution there. However, mysterious bandits, who Sion believes are assassins, attack Mia's carriage.
Very few people knew about the trip, and they were all very reliable.
Chloe’s father could have said something.
Possibly, someone with a future diary like the one Mia had learned about their arrival.
One or all of the mysterious men from Ep.8 seem the likely culprit.
No Average Bandit
When in Episode 9, Mia learns about Remno’s revolution, she immediately fears for Abel. And so, together with Sion, Tiona, and Keithwood, they use one of Chloe’s father’s carriages to get into Remno. Unfortunately, they are attacked, and according to Sion, the attackers were too well-trained to be regular bandits. He is certain that those were assassins, hunting either Mia or Sion. And that means someone let it slip that Mia and Sion would be traveling to Remno.
The identity of the attackers is not that important, but the identity of the one who ordered that attack is more interesting. On top of that, we want to know who informed the potential culprit. Let’s theorize!
Loose Lips
Before looking into the supernatural, we have to admit that someone could have told the culprit about Mia’s trip. Few people knew about it, and they believed it was important to keep it a secret, so very few could have told someone else about the trip. For example, we do not expect Rafina to have told anyone anything. However, there is one person who could have loose lips, and it is Chloe’s father, who does like profit a little too much. If anyone told the attackers about Mia, it would probably be him.
Magic
That said, within Mia’s universe, there appear to be time travelers, and it is entirely possible that Mia is not the only one with a magical diary. With the shady men that appeared in Episode 8, it is entirely possible that someone learned about Mia’s arrival to Remno from a future diary.
We assume that the mysterious men were, indeed, the culprits who sent the assassins. After all, they seem to be very invested in making Mia’s life harder and leading Mia — and now, apparently, Abel — to the guillotine.
Do you think the mystery men have future diaries?
