These Roles of Tadaima, Okaeri Seiyuu Will Definitely Surprise You

We've definitely heard these voices before.

Tadaima, Okaeri is a rather fresh slice-of-life BL series set in the omegaverse that follows a family of two fathers and their incredibly adorable son, Hikari. The series is going pretty well with its MyAnimeList score of 7.32 and is streamed on Crunchyroll on Tuesdays at 00:30 (JST).

Although there isn't much hype for Tadaima, Okaeri outside of the BL community, this series deserves a lot of attention. It's special for a bunch of reasons, and one of them is its voice cast.

Atsumi Tanezaki

We just can't start with anyone else but the voice of the most adorable kid of 2024, Atsumi Tanezaki. If you think you've heard this name before, then you're absolutely right.

You might be surprised, but Tadaima, Okaeri's Hikari shares his voice with another cute anime kid, Anya from Spy x Family. Atsumi Tanezaki is especially talented when it comes to voicing kids.

But wait, there's more. She's also the voice of the most favorite elf currently, which is Frieren herself (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End). And do you remember one of the first big MAPPA series, Terror in Resonance? She also played the starring role there and voiced Lisa.

Toshiyuki Morikawa

It's time to talk about one of the adorable dads, namely Hiromu, voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa. But before he became a BL family man, he starred in such iconic anime as Bleach (Isshin Kurosaki), Naruto (Minato Namikaze), One Punch Man (Boros) and even One Piece (Scopper Gaban).

Moreover, this Tadaima, Okaeri is not even the first time Toshiyuki Morikawa has made our hearts beat faster this year. He voiced Ashaf in The Witch and the Beast, and we're still hoping to see him again in Season 2 (sadly, not confirmed yet).

But the thing that surprised fans the most is that this wholesome "dad" can also be one of the greatest Final Fantasy villains ― Sephiroth. Toshiyuki Morikawa voiced him in all FF games and anime that featured this iconic villain.

Atsushi Tamaru

Although Atsushi Tamaru might not have such series as Naruto and Frieren among his works, you still might have heard him somewhere before.

He was that stalker we all hated in Oshi no Ko (Ryousuke) and the polite lieutenant Eugene Rantz in 86. He also starred in such amazing series as Haikyuu (Akira) and Fruits Basket (Kunimitsu), and this year you might have heard him in Fluffy Paradise as Lestin Ogma.
