French manga publisher Kana has announced that Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto will visit France in August 2024, to talk about their work on Boruto. Fans will be able to discuss the manga with the authors and ask them questions.
Kishimoto’s Involvement in Boruto
This news is more than exciting, because fans have been asking for Kishimoto’s comments on Boruto for ages. Some of them even started thinking that the original author of Naruto had nothing to do with the sequel.
It would explain a lot, since Naruto is a greatly beloved manga and anime series, but Boruto has never been as successful. There were various theories, including one that Kishimoto hired a ghostwriter instead of doing the job himself.
That’s why fans are very happy to finally have the chance to ask the mangaka about the extent of his involvement in the sequel. It’s said that he was supervising the first part of Boruto instead of actually writing it, and fans want some confirmation.
