Villains are a very important element in Jujutsu Kaisen. They are partly responsible for the title's success. Without charismatic villains, the fights would be boring and one-sided. However, not all Jujutsu Kaisen villains are popular. It's unlikely that many people's answer to the question of what their favorite antagonist is will be Kenjaku. Nevertheless, he plays a major role in the story.
In fact, he can be considered the second most important villain after Sukuna. Since he will appear in the upcoming episode, it seems like a good time to talk about him.
So when did he show up?
Kenjaku appears unexpectedly in the series, in fact, we realize his presence very late. He reveals his identity at the moment of Gojo's imprisonment in the second season. Until then, it seems that Geto — Gojo's best friend — is behind all the misdeeds before and during Shibuya.
However, this character died before the first season's events, and his story is revealed in the Hidden Inventory Arc and the feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Sounds confusing! Kenjaku's character can be distinguished by a distinctive scar on his forehead.

Even Geto, who also didn't get much screen time, seems to be a much more charismatic antagonist. Hopefully, Episode 22 will give us further details about Kenjaku.
