We’ve Thought of the Worst Endings That Can Await Sukuna, and One of Them is Truly Cruel

We think it’s safe to say that it’s fairly obvious that Jujutsu Kaisen is supposed to end with Sukuna getting defeated. It’s only if Gege decides to go with a somewhat happy ending, though. But even after all the deaths and horrors that the JJK fans have experienced, they still have hope that it will be exactly the case. So to reach that point Sukuna has to fall, and the only question that still remains is “how?”. And fans wouldn’t be true fans if they didn’t have a couple of ideas.

Defeating Sukuna is not going to be easy

Since Sukuna is well-known for being the strongest curse in the series, getting rid of him is not an easy task. There are two main ideas: he has to vanish for good or be sealed. But what is the most fitting end for him?

Some fans compare Sukuna to radiation. Yuji himself says that Sukuna can’t die even if he gets killed, and his fingers couldn’t be disposed of properly. He just split his power into the said fingers and kept existing as cursed objects even after his death due to his immensely strong cursed energy.

There are some ways, though

One of the ideas is that Yuji has to consume all of the twenty fingers and try to remain in control of his body and not surrender to Sukuna fully. Then, sorcerers will have to execute him, hoping that it will kill Sukuna as well, since Yuji is more of a cage for the curse rather than a vessel. If the cage dies, the curse inside of it may die, too. But there’s no actual proof that it may work.

Sealing Sukuna is another way to go, but it would take colossal powers to do so. With Gojo now deceased, there’s hardly anyone who would be able to do so. He may get sealed inside of Yuji’s body and forced to experience the boy’s normal life without being capable of doing anything. However, fans remember Gege mentioning that he knew Yuji’s ending and didn’t know Sukuna’s one, which leads to the idea that these two will be separated by the end.

There’s also another option that’s not based on killing or sealing Sukuna. What if there was a way to strip Sukuna of all of his powers and make him live out the rest of his existence as a weak entity, incapable of doing any harm? This would be the cruelest option, but maybe it would serve Sukuna just right after everything he’s done?
